Greensboro, NC – Virginia men’s golfer Will Collins (Salisbury, N.C.) have been named to the 2010 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team as announced by the ACC today. Collins was a junior during the 2009-10 season and a Kinesiology major.

A first-team All-ACC selection, Collins played in all 13 matches last season. He finished 25th at the NCAA Championships to help UVa to an 11th-place finish. He was second on the team with a 72.31 stroke average which ranked 10th in the ACC. He finished as the runner-up at the 2010 ACC Championships, shooting 8-under 208.

Collins was one of five players named to the team who were also All-ACC selections.

To be eligible for consideration for the team a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintain a cumulative 3.00 average during his academic career.
