CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia freshman to be, Mark Cockerton, shined at the 2010 Under Armour All-American Game. The future UVa attackman led the way with four goals on seven shots, pacing the North All-Stars to a 17-12 triumph over their South counterparts, inside Towson’s Johnny Unitas Stadium. Cockerton is the first Canadian to ever be named an Under Armour All-American.

For his exploits, the Oshawa, Ontario native was named the game’s MVP, marking the second-straight season an incoming UVa freshman has garnered such honors. In the 2009 game Chris LaPierre picked up six ground balls, scored two goals and dished four assists on his way to the MVP hardware.

Cockerton is the brother of current UVa sophomore Matt Cockerton.
