Pricing

Season tickets in the lower level and in certain areas of the upper level are $405 for Virginia’s 18-game home schedule. This is the same price as last season and includes an exhibition game.A new offering for 2010-11 are season tickets priced at $183 ($147 for UVa faculty and staff) in specific upper level seat locations. A three-month payment plan option is available for all season ticket purchases. Please click on the image below to view the new map and pricing options.

Priority Deadline-September 10

For priority, please place your season ticket order by September 10. Orders not received by this date will be considered late and subject to possible seat relocation or cancellation.

Seat Locations

Customers who have made capital contributions to the John Paul Jones Arena have long term rights to purchase their same seats annually. Seat locations for other customers are determined based on Virginia Athletics Foundation annual giving and priority points.

Faculty/Staff Seating

Full-time University of Virginia faculty and staff members are eligible to purchase up to four discounted season tickets.

Seating Requests

Seating requests may be made in the online comments box or attached to your order form. The ability to handle your request is dependent on attrition and your priority point standing. Each request is reviewed, but the volume of requests does not make personal consultation feasible. Decisions are made according to the best judgment of Athletics Ticket Office and/or Virginia Athletics Foundation staff.

Payment Plan

Returning season ticket holders have the option to spread their payment out over 3 installments. Season ticket orders must be in by the September 10 priority deadline to take advantage of this payment plan offer. A credit card must be given at the time of order; this card will be charged on approximately the 15th day of September, October, and November.

Priority Deadline-September 10

New orders should be placed by September 10 to be included in the priority seating process. After September 10, season tickets will continue to be sold until the supply is exhausted, or the season begins, whichever comes first.

Seat Locations

New season ticket holders may contact the Virginia Athletics Foundation if interested in making a capital contribution and securing long term seat rights. Seats purchased in Upper Orange and Upper Blue locations will be assigned according to VAF annual giving and priority points. Upper Orange and Upper Blue buyers without priority points will be seated on a date received basis.

Faculty/Staff Discount

Seating locations for Weekend 5 and Power 5 package buyers will be assigned after the September 10 priority deadline. Package locations will be assigned after all season ticket assignments have been made.

Weekend 5 Package Games: LSU, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Boston College.

Power 5 Package Games: Iowa State, Maryland, Clemson, Duke, NC State

Sales of the Holiday ‘Hoo Crew package begin on October 15. This package includes 6 games held over the university’s winter break. Seats will be assigned in bleacher sections 116-119. These seats are benches with no armrests or backrests.

Home Games

Single game sales for all games begin at VirginiaSports.com on Friday, October 15. Virginia will host TBA in an exhibition game on TBA. Tickets for this game are included with the season ticket package. Single exhibition game tickets are available for $15 (Upper Orange) and $10 (Upper Blue).

Family Nights

Beginning Friday, October 15, family packages will be available at VirginiaSports.com for games with TBA. Family packages cost $56 each and include 4 tickets and 4 concession vouchers (valid for 22 oz. soda and hot dog). Additional tickets are $14 each.

Away Games

The Virginia Athletics Ticket Office does not sell tickets for away basketball games. Please check with the host institution for availability.

Postseason Tickets

ACC Tournament

The 2011 ACC Tournament will be held March 10-13 at the Greensboro Coliseum. Applications will be sent in mid-December to qualified Virginia Athletics Foundation donors. 2011 ACC Tournament ticket book price is TBA. Order deadline is January 14.
Ticket limits are set according to 2010 Virginia Athletics Foundation giving level.

Giving Level
Scholarship Society Guaranteed the right to purchase up to 6 tickets.
Commonwealth Society Guaranteed the right to purchase up to 4 tickets.
V Club May apply for 2 tickets.

Ticket Locations

Virginia’s 2011 ACC Tournament allotment is currently scheduled to be assigned in sections TBA. Greensboro Coliseum seating chart.

Notification of Unfilled Order

You will be contacted by email by February 1 only if your request is not filled. Your name would then be placed on a waiting list and you would be contacted if any tickets become available.

Delivery of Tickets

Tickets will be sent via UPS two-day service approximately February 16. UPS will not deliver to P.O. boxes, please provide a street address for delivery.

Parking

Season Parking

Season ticket holders may purchase one reserved season parking pass per ticket account. VAF donors making a minimum pledge or gift of $100 are assigned parking based on VAF priority points. All parking assignments are subject to availability. Should requests for parking spaces exceed supply, buyers will be notified in a timely manner and a refund will be issued.

General Information

Order Confirmation and Processing of Payment/Refunds

Orders placed via virginiasports.com will receive immediate confirmation. For mail or phone orders, your credit card statement or cancelled check will serve as your confirmation. The processing of your payment, however, does not constitute final acceptance of your order. Should demand exceed supply for any tickets ordered, you will receive timely notification and a refund will be processed for the price of the tickets ordered. Refunds of unfilled orders will be made by a Commonwealth of Virginia check if purchased by check; otherwise, for credit card orders, a credit will be issued to your credit card account.

Virginia Ticket Marketplace

This season ticket benefit allows customers, starting approximately November 1, to list for sale tickets to games they are unable to attend. Enter Virginia Ticket Marketplace.

Virginia Ticket Return

Last minute change in plans? Can’t attend a game? Donate your season tickets for that particular game back to the Virginia Athletics Foundation, starting approximately November 1, so that another Cavalier fan can attend the game. Click here to return tickets to VAF.

Virginia Ticket Transfer

This season ticket benefit allows customers, starting approximately November 1, to electronically send their tickets for a particular game to another customer of their choosing. Click here to transfer tickets.

Delivery of Tickets

Season tickets will be mailed in late October. Single game tickets will be mailed no later than ten (10) days prior to the game. Orders placed within seven (7) days of the event will have will call and print-at-home as delivery options; mail is not an option that close to the event.

Address Changes

In order to ensure the proper mailing of season tickets, it is your responsibility to inform the Athletics Ticket Office of any changes in your address by the season ticket priority deadline of September 10. Manage your account information online by clicking here.

Priority

Orders from Virginia Athletics Foundation donors meeting specific deadlines are prioritized according to their priority points as established by the Virginia Athletics Foundation. General public orders are prioritized on a date-received basis.

Customer Numbers

To receive full priority, ticket orders and all correspondence with the Athletics Ticket Office should include your customer number and be made in the same name as previous orders. If you donate to the Virginia Athletics Foundation in a different name, please make note of it. Online orders should be made by signing in to your correct customer account and not by creating a new account.

Group Seating

Individuals desiring group seating should return their orders together. Each order should reference the other individuals in the group. The group will be seated according to the priority of the group member with the lowest priority.

Game Times/Dates

Game times and dates are subject to change. Refunds will not be made because of a time or date change.

Admission Policies

Any patron having reached their second birthday requires a ticket. Virginia maintains a no re-entry policy at all men’s basketball games. Admission is subject to inspection and search of prohibited items. More detailed information is available at VirginiaSports.com.

UVA Student Tickets

Students utilize SHOTS (Student Hoops Online Ticketing System) to request tickets for Men’s Basketball games. Students are assigned seats in sections 101-105, 116-119, 301-302. Student sections will be converted to reserved seats and sold to the general public for games when students do not utilize all of their allocated seats.
