IRVINE, Calif. – Two Virginia swimmers made appearances in the finals of the ConocoPhillips National Championships Friday night as day four of the event continued from Irvine, Calif.

Rising senior Scot Robison (Charlotte, N.C.) placed sixth in the 100-meter free, clocking a mark of 49.36. That time bested his preliminary mark of 49.56. Junior Peter Geissinger (Darien, Conn.) swam in the consolation finals and finished 18th overall with a time of 50.35.

Incoming freshman Rachel Naurath (Manakin-Sabot, Va.) also swam her way into the finals of the 200-meter fly. She placed seventh with a time of 2:11.80.

The fifth and final day of the National Championships continues Saturday with the women’s 100-meter free, men’s 200-meter back, women’s 200-meter breast, men’s 200-meter breast and the finals of the women’s 800-meter free and men’s 1500-meter free.
