ConocoPhillips National Championships Conclude in California

IRVINE, Calif. – In a meet that saw three Cavaliers final in five events, members of the Virginia swimming teams concluded competition Saturday at the 2010 ConocoPhillips National Championships.
Among those finalists over the course of the five-day meet included rising senior Scot Robison (Charlotte, N.C.) in the 100-meter and 200-meter freestyle events; classmate Matt McLean (Sterling, Va.) in the 200-meter and 400-meter freestyle events; and newcomer Rachel Naurath ((Manakin-Sabot, Va.) in the 200-meter fly.
Rising junior Peter Geissinger (Darien, Conn.) made appearances in the consolation finals of the 200-meter free and 100-meter fly, while both Robison (50-meter free) and Naurath (400-meter free) also swam in consolation finals.
On Saturday, the final day of competition, sophomore Christine Olson (Gilbert, Ariz.) participated in the bonus final, earning a 20th-place finish with a time of 2:32.44.
