Question: What team were you on?
Clark: I was on Team Navy.
Question: What dish did you prepare?
Clark: I helped prepare the mango salsa.
Question: Why did you choose to prepare that?
Clark: I was chosen to chop the fruits!
Question: How much planning was involved in preparing it?
Clark: We used a collaborative effort to decide what we would put in the salsa, so it wasn’t difficult.
Question: What did you have to shop for as you were thinking of preparing for that meal?
Clark: We shopped for mango, nectarine, cilantro, lemon juice and tomatoes.
Question: What role did the nutritionist play?
Clark: The nutritionist helped by giving us the rules.
Question: Who were the judges?
Clark: The judges were our assistant coach, our nutritionist, and the vice mayor of Charlottesville.
Question: What did they have to say about your meal?
Clark: They said they loved the way it tasted and was presented.
Question: If you had to do it all over again, what would you change?
Clark: I would change giving the vice mayor chicken on her plate since she’s a vegetarian.
Question: Overall, what did you think of the event?
Clark: I thought this was a fun way to learn about eating healthy and bonding with our team.
