So we are winding down to the end of preseason! The excitement of the season beginning is overwhelming! Today, we were fortunate enough to have our morning session off. This allowed us to sleep in a little, get a good breakfast, do some rehab before practice and get energized for our afternoon session.

We came into practice awake and ready to play. We started off with some basic ball control drills to get warmed up, did some target passing and zone area hitting, then moved quickly into pre-match warm ups. This way, we first years could get accommodated with what to expect before starting a match. We did hitting lines, serve-receive passing and competitive serving. The rest of practice was used to emulate real life matches. We got a lot accomplished and understood the rotations and plays better. Afterwards, some of us ice bathed and others went out to dinner.

I am so excited to have our first scrimmage of the season tomorrow at Memorial Gym at 3pm! We have all gotten so close over these past two weeks and blend together very nicely on the court. We have all been working really hard and can’t wait to finally see it all come together.

GO HOOS!
