CHARLOTTESVILLE — The Virginia men’s tennis team begins its 2010 fall schedule this weekend as it hosts the UVa Fall Classic. Players from 21 schools will be competing in the event, that runs Sept. 10-12.

The Snyder Tennis Center will be the primary site of competition, with additional matches being played at The Dell and the Boar’s Head Sports Club.

Joining the host Cavaliers in this year’s field are players from Binghamton, California, Cornell, Davidson, East Tennessee State, Eastern Kentucky, Elon, George Washington, James Madison, Longwood, Maryland, Nebraska, North Carolina State, Old Dominion, Richmond, VCU, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, William & Mary, and Winthrop.

Seven Cavaliers are slated to compete in the event: Dino Dell’Orto (Hong Kong, China), Steven Eelkman Rooda (Amersfoort, The Netherlands), Brian Fang (Hacienda Heights, Calif.), Reese Milner (Los Angeles, Calif.), Philippe Oudshoorn (Apeldoorn, The Netherlands), Justin Shane (Falls Church, Va.) and Santiago Villegas (Bogota, Colombia).
