CHARLOTTESVILLE — Play continued Saturday at the UVa Fall Classic, the opening tournament of the season for the Virginia men’s tennis team. Two Virginia players advanced to singles finals, as did one Cavalier doubles team.

In the orange singles draw, Philippe Oudshoorn (Apeldoorn, The Netherlands) won a pair of matches on Saturday to reach the final. He topped David Hopkins of Wake Forest in the quarterfinals and Pedro Graber of Virginia Tech in the semifinals. He will play Riki McLaughlin of California in the final.

In the black singles draw, Brian Fang (Hacienda Heights, Calif.) topped Eric Turner of Elon in the quarterfinals and Ben Hoogeland of William & Mary in the semifinals. He will play Parul Verma of Eastern Kentucky in the final on Sunday.

The doubles team of Oudshoorn and Steven Eelkman Rooda (Amersfoort, The Netherlands) reached the orange final. They topped Jesus Bandres and Jorge Varon of East Tennessee State in the semifinals and will meet Nick Andrews and McLaughlan of California in the final.

The finals will be played Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Snyder Tennis Center.
