CHARLOTTESVILLE – The second-ranked Virginia men’s soccer team hosts Marist on Tuesday night at Klöckner Stadium. Kick-off is 7 p.m. and live statistics will be available at VirginiaSports.com.

Virginia (2-0-1, 0-0-1 ACC) is coming off of a 2-2 double-overtime draw at No. 7 Duke on Saturday night (Sept. 11). The Cavaliers are unbeaten in their last 19 games, holding a 15-0-4 mark in those contests dating back to last year’s NCAA Championship season.

Additionally, Virginia has not lost to a non-conference opponent since the 2008 NCAA Tournament – a string of 13 contests – and is unbeaten in its last 12 matches in Klöckner Stadium.

Freshman forward Brian Span (Somers, N.Y.) leads the Cavaliers with two goals and two assists, while Sean Hiller (Howell, N.J.) and Jimmy Simpson (Warrenton, Va.) have each also tallied two goals.

Marist has a 2-2 record and is led by Stephan Brossard and Lucas Szabo with two goals apiece.

This will be the first meeting in collegiate men’s soccer action between Virginia and Marist.

Following Tuesday’s match, Virginia continues its ACC schedule with a home contest against No. 12 Wake Forest on Saturday, Sept. 18. Kick-off from Klöckner Stadium is 7 p.m., and the first 4,000 fans in attendance will receive a Virginia Soccer rally towel.
