Charlottesville, VA – The No. 11 Virginia women’s golf team opens its season Monday at the Fall Preview at the 6,271-yard, par 72 Traditions Golf Club in Bryan, Texas. This year’s tournament is hosted by Texas A&M. The 54-hole tournament includes 18 holes of play through Wednesday.

The field for this year’s tournament includes 13 teams ranked in the top-15 of Golfweek’s preseason poll. The participating schools (with rankings) are: No. 5 Alabama, No. 2 Arizona State (individuals only), No. 6 Auburn, No. 8 Duke, No. 15 Georgia, No. 21 LSU, No. 14 Michigan State, No. 9 Pepperdine, No. 7 Purdue, No. 18 Stanford, No. 12 Tennessee, Texas, No. 23 Texas A&M, Tulane, No. 1 UCLA, No. 3 USC, No. 13 Vanderbilt and No. 10 Wake Forest.

Virginia’s lineup will include seniors Calle Nielson and Joy Kim, junior Eleana Collins and sophomores Brittany Altomare and Nicole Agnello. Those five players made up UVa’s lineup at last year’s NCAA Championships where the Cavaliers placed 13th.

Virginia is paired with Duke and LSU during the opening round of the Fall Preview. Those teams will tee off at 8:45 a.m. Live scoring is online at Golfstat.com.
