CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Virginia men’s team continued its strong play on the second day of the 2010 UVa Ranked Plus One Invitational at the Snyder Tennis Center. The Cavaliers had two doubles teams win flight titles and two singles players advance to flight finals.

In the A-3 doubles final, the team of Alex Domijan (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) and Drew Courtney (Clifton, Va.) took the title, topping Jon Wolff and Danny Kreyman of Wake Forest 8-5 in the final. The Cavalier duo of Sanam Singh (Chandigarh, India) and Steven Eelkman Rooda (Amersfoort, The Netherlands) won an epic final in the A-4 flight, topping Tennessee’s Tennys Sandgren and Matteo Fago 9-8 (17-15 in the breaker).

In the A-2 singles flight, Singh advanced to the final with straight set wins over Sven Vloedgraven of Binghamton and Chris Nott of Arkansas. He plays Ionut Beleleu of Oklahoma in the final.

In the A-4 singles flight, Domijan reached the final with wins over Tommy Laine of Maryland and Damien Hume of Boise State. He plays Tripper Carleton of Wake Forest in the final.

The tournament concludes on Sunday with the final round of singles play. Action begins at 9 a.m. at the Snyder Tennis Center and admission to the tournament is free.
