Stillwater, OK – Virginia junior golfer Ben Kohles shot even par 72 to move into second place with one round to play at the Ping/Golfweek Fall Preview taking place at Oklahoma State’s Karsten Course. Kohles is tied with three other players for second place at 1-over 145. That group trails Georgia’s Hudson Swafford by two shots.

Cavalier freshman Ben Rusch also shot 72 Monday to help UVa move up two spots in the team standings to 10th place. The Cavaliers shot 8-over 296 after opening the tournament with a 25-over 313.

Rusch is in 40th place at 9-over 153. Mac McLaughlin is 45th at 154 after shooting 76 in the second round. Will Collins is in 58th place at 158, including a 77 Monday. Henry Smart shot 76 for a 36-hole total of 162 to figure 68th overall.

Oklahoma State continues to lead the 15-team field at 584, one stroke ahead of Georgia and Georgia Tech. UVa’s 36-hole score stands at 609.
