Charlottesville, VA – The 25th-ranked Virginia men’s golf team plays in the two-day Gary Koch Intercollegiate Saturday and Sunday. The 54-hole tournament is taking place at the Old Memorial Golf Club in Tampa, Fla.

The tournament is co-hosted by Auburn and Kentucky. The field also includes Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, Florida State, Georgia Southern, Middle Tennessee State, North Carolina, UNC Greensboro, North Florida and South Florida. Florida State won last year’s title while the Cavaliers were third in the 15-team field. Ben Kohles led UVa with a sixth-place finish.

Virginia is coming off a 10th-place showing at the Fall Preview where Kohles was sixth. He will be joined in the UVa lineup by Amory Davis, Will Collins, Mac McLaughlin and Ben Rusch. The Cavaliers are paired with Auburn and Kentucky during the first round and will tee off at 7:40 a.m. from the 10th tee. The second round will also take place Saturday.
