CHARLOTTESVILLE — Members of the Virginia women’s tennis team will compete in a pair of events this week. Four players will compete in the ITA All-American Championships in Los Angeles, while others will compete at the USTA Futures Tour event in Williamsburg.

Erin Vierra (Norwell, Mass.) and Hana Tomljanovic (Boca Raton, Fla.) open play on Saturday in prequalifying at the ITA All-American Championships. Players in prequalifying need to win three matches to advance to qualifying, which begins Tuesday. Lindsey Hardenbergh (Fairfax Station, Va.) and Emily Fraser (Rye, N.Y.) were selected for the qualifying draw.

In doubles, the team of Hardenbergh and Vierra received entry into the main draw, which begins on Oct. 7. The team of Tomljanovic and Fraser will begin competing in the qualifying draw of doubles.

Other members of the team will spend the next week competing in the USTA Futures Tour stop in Williamsburg.
