This weekend was almost perfect. The weather outside was amazing and we got our first ACC win at home against Clemson!! We started out strong against in our second ACC home match against Georgia Tech on Friday, but we lost in the end. Saturday’s practice was completely refocused and refreshing as we ran through Clemson’s attack patterns, as well as working on serve receive. When Sunday came around, we were well prepared and ready!

You could feel that Sunday was going to be a victory right as we stepped onto the court. Of course, energy is a huge part of volleyball, but it waned some parts of the match. Overall, we played strong throughout the match and won it in five sets. It felt so good to have a win at home against a team that we have struggled against in the past.

Now that we have a win tucked under our belt, we can look forward to a winning streak this weekend as we travel to Boston College and Maryland. It also happens to be close to midterms… Wish us luck with our exams!
