Mike Redmond
Graduate Strength Coach
Mike Redmond came to Virginia as a graduate strength & conditioning coach in December 2009. He is assists with supervision and execution of strength training, speed and conditioning programs for the football team.

Redmond comes to UVa after serving as the defensive coordinator and speed & strength coordinator for Ithaca High School in New York for the 2008 and 2009 football seasons.

Redmond spent the summer of 2008 as the head baseball coach for the Lansing American Legion Baseball squad in New York and was a camp infield instructor for Ithaca College baseball camps during the summer of 2007 and 2008. He also was a varsity assistant football coach for Lansing High School in 2007 and the head coach for Lansing Babe Ruth Baseball in the summer of 2007.

Redmond has also helped with baseball camps at Cornell and served as an assistant baseball coach at Franklin County Middle School in Rocky Mount, Va.

A 2009 graduate of SUNY Oswego with a bachelor of arts degree in history, Redmond played baseball for the Lakers and was a member of their 2008 ECAC championship. Redmond also played two seasons at Ferrum College where he was a member of the Panthers’ 2007 USA South championship squad and NCAA Regional finalist team. He also spent one season at Mohawk Valley Community College.

Redmond currently resides in Charlottesville.
