CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Virginia men’s soccer team will play its final regular-season match on the road Saturday (Nov. 6) at NC State. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m., and live statistics as well as a free live webcast will be available at VirginiaSports.com.

Virginia (10-3-3, 2-3-2 ACC) is ranked No. 10 by Soccer America and No. 15 by the National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA). The Cavaliers are coming off a 4-1 victory on Tuesday (Nov. 2) over Campbell. In that match, sophomore forward Will Bates (Chester, Va.) scored two goals and an assist to lead UVa.

With the five points vs. the Camels, Bates upped his season totals to eight goals and four assists, both team-highs. As a team, UVa is out-scoring its opponents, 35-11.

Senior goalkeeper Diego Restrepo (West Palm Beach, Fla.) continues to lead the ACC in goals-against average (0.66) and has posted seven shutouts this season.

NC State (8-7-2, 0-5-2 ACC) is coming off a 1-0 home win over Florida Atlantic on Nov. 2. Tyler Lassiter leads the team with six goals and five assists. As a team, the Wolfpack is out-scoring its opponents 32-25.

Wolfpack goalkeeper Will Mackvick has a 1.57 goals-against average and has tallied two shutouts on the year.

Virginia leads the all-time series with NC State, 14-3-1, including four-consecutive wins in the series.

Saturday’s contest is a rematch of the 2009 ACC Tournament, which the Cavaliers won, 1-0.

Following the regular-season finale, seedings and match times for the 2010 ACC Tournament, being held Nov. 10-14 in Cary, N.C., will be announced Sunday, Nov. 7.
