CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.
– Virginia wrestler Chris Henrich (Sr., Lansdale, Pa.) has been named ACC Co-Wrestler of the Week following his standout performance at the Journeymen Northeast Duals last week. Henrich shares the honor this week with Maryland’s Mike Letts.

Ranked second nationally in the 174-pound weight class, Henrich scored a pair of wins over nationally ranked foes last Saturday. Henrich notched a 9-4 win over No. 16 Austin Meys of Lehigh and followed that up with a 5-2 decision over No. 17 Ethan Headlee of Pittsburgh. Henrich opened the day with a 15-3 major decision over Columbia’s Stephen West.

Henrich has won all nine of his matches this season, with five resulting in bonus points. The two-time All-American now has 110 career wins, six shy of matching the school record.

The ACC weekly honor is the third of Henrich’s career. Ironically, he last was named ACC Wrestler of the Week on Dec. 1, 2009, also after a stellar outing at the Northeast Duals. Henrich also nabbed co-wrestler of the week laurels on Nov. 18, 2008.

Henrich and the Cavaliers are off from dual competition until Dec. 18 when they travel to Campbell.
