Honolulu – Former Cavalier standout Steve Marino tied for second to open the 2011 PGA Tour season at the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, Hawaii. Marino finished at 14-under to tie with Tim Clark as the runners up behind Mark Wilson (16-under). Marino hard rounds of 65, 67, 66 and 68 for a four-day total of 266. He netted a check of $484,000 for his performance.

The 2011 PGA Tour marks Marino’s fifth straight year playing at the highest level of professional golf. In 120 career events he has earned $7.4 million.
