CHARLOTTESVILLE – The top-ranked Virginia men’s tennis team will conclude its season-opening nine-match homestand by hosting No. 29 Virginia Tech on Friday at the Boyd Tinsley Courts at the Boar’s Head Sports Club. Match time is 6 p.m. and admission is free.

The Cavaliers (8-0, 1-0 ACC) will look to defeat their in-state rival for the eighth straight season when they host the Hokies (3-3, 0-0 ACC). Virginia will also look to extend its winning streaks of 64 consecutive matches against conference foes (regular season and postseason), and 82 consecutive home matches.

Following the match, the Cavaliers will be on the road until April. They begin that road span on Sunday as they visit Boston College. Next week Virginia heads to Seattle where it looks for its unprecedented fourth consecutive ITA National Team Indoors title.
