SEATTLE, Wash. – Redshirt junior Ryan Collins finished 21st in a stacked field of the 5000m Friday night at the University of Washington’s Husky Classic. Collins, a 2010 All-American in the 5000m and the only Cavalier to ever run under 14 minutes in the event during the indoor season, finished with a time of 13:58.54.

At last year’s Husky Classic, the two-time ACC Champion shattered the school record in the event, running 13:46.41.

Redshirt sophomore Sean Keveren also competed in the men’s 5000m, finishing 69th overall with a time of 14:46.00.

In addition, senior Catherine White competed in the women’s 5000m. A 2009 All-American in the event, White crossed the line in 30th place and with a time of 16:35.80.

Virginia will continue competition Saturday at the Husky Classic, while the Cavaliers will also compete at The Armory in New York City. Events in Washington are set to begin at 5:30 p.m., while action at The Armory will start at 6 p.m.
