CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.
– Because of a high probability for inclement weather on Sunday (March 6), the schedule for the Virginia Tournament this weekend at Davenport Field including Virginia, Rider and Cornell has been altered. Rather than playing two games Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the tournament will now consist of three games on Friday and Saturday. Virginia, Rider and Cornell will each play two games on both days.

The first two games on Friday will be played as originally scheduled with the addition of a Virginia-Rider game at 7 p.m. The start times of Saturday’s first two games have been moved up one hour with a contest between Cornell and Rider added at 5 p.m.

The new schedule is as follows:
Friday, noon: Rider vs. Cornell
Friday, 4 p.m.: Virginia vs. Cornell
Friday, 7 p.m.: Virginia vs. Rider

Saturday, 11 a.m.: Virginia vs. Rider
Saturday, 2 p.m.: Virginia vs. Cornell
Saturday, 5 p.m.: Cornell vs. Rider

Tickets originally purchased for either of the Friday games now will be good for all three games held during the Friday session. Tickets originally purchased for UVa’s Saturday doubleheader with Cornell and Rider will be valid for all three games of the Saturday session.

Tickets for the Sunday game may be used for either the Friday or Saturday games, or fans may: (a) exchange their ticket in advance for a General Admission ticket to any other regular season game by calling the Virginia Athletic Ticket Office at (800) 542-8821 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or (b) bring their ticket stubs to the gate for General Admission seating at any remaining regular season home game, subject to seat availability at the time of arrival.

In addition to the home baseball games Saturday, the ACC Wrestling Championship will be contested all day at John Paul Jones Arena. Parking will be available in all of the lots surrounding University Hall and John Paul Jones Arena for both events.

Free hot chocolate and coffee will be available to fans throughout the day on Friday.

Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance for all athletics events to avoid lines at the facilities’ ticket windows. Tickets can be ordered by phone at (800) 542-8821 and online at VirginiaSports.com. Advance ticket sales online end four hours prior to each game.

General Admission seating is available in the left- and right-field bleachers as well as the grass hillside and the bleachers located along the right-field line. Weekend General Admission tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for youth (18 and under), seniors (60 and older) and faculty/staff (limit two per faculty/staff). Advance ticket sales online end four hours prior to the game.

Reserved tickets, if available, are $10 for adults and $6 for UVa faculty/staff, and will be sold beginning two hours prior to the game at the Davenport Field ticket windows. General Admission ticket holders may also upgrade to Reserved seating for $4 per ticket, subject to availability.
