Charlottesville, VA – The Virginia football team will hold an open practice and scrimmage from 1-3 p.m. at Episcopal High School’s Hummel Bowl in Alexandria, Va. on Saturday, March 26. The gates will open at noon and admission to the event is free.

The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a free Virginia football t-shirt. Promotional tables will be set up at the stadium’s entrance and each fan will receive a roster/autograph card and have an opportunity to enter to win raffle prizes. Prizes include: a pair of season tickets, tickets for UVa individual home games, an LCD television, a trip to a Virginia road game, a Cavalier helmet and football signed by head coach Mike London and a personalized Virginia football jersey.

Fan-friendly activities will be set up in the fieldhouse adjacent to Hummel Bowl starting at noon, including the UVa bounce house and target toss. Following the practice, there will be a 30-minute autograph session on the field. The event will conclude at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Red, Hot, and Blue will provide food and beverages for sale.

There will be a food drive to benefit the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) in conjunction with the practice. The AFAC is in need of cereal and other breakfast items, pasta, and peanut butter at this time.

Parking at for the event will be at the T.C. Williams High School parking garage located at 3330 King Street. Tailgating is not permitted in the parking garage.

The Orange-Blue Spring Game is Saturday, April 2 at Scott Stadium. The Orange-Blue game follows the Virginia-Maryland men’s lacrosse game that starts at noon.
