Charlottesville, VA – The 17th-ranked Virginia men’s golf team will tee it up on the second stop of is Spring Break swing through South Carolina Sunday at the two-day General Hackler Championship. The 54-hole tournament is held at the par-72, 6,950-yard TPC of Myrtle Beach.

Play starts Sunday with an 8 a.m. shotgun start and features 36 holes of competition. The final round is slated for Monday. Live scoring will be online at Golfstat.com.

The field for this year’s tournament includes host school Coastal Carolina and Auburn, Augusta State, Charleston Southern, College of Charleston, East Carolina, East Tennessee State, Gardner-Webb, Lamar, North Florida, Pepperdine, Presbyterian, Tennessee, USC Upstate, Wake Forest and Western Carolina.

Virginia’s lineup includes Ben Rusch, Amory Davis, Ben Kohles, Will Collins and Bruce Woodall. Mac McLaughlin will compete as a non-scoring individual.

The Cavaliers are coming off a second-place finish at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate. Rusch led UVa with a ninth-place showing at 3-over 213. Kohles continues to lead the team with a 71.62 stroke average while Davis is second at 71.67.
