CHARLOTTESVILLE – The University of Virginia’s John Paul Jones Arena was selected as one of 16 sites for the first and second round of the 2011 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship and will host two games on Sunday, March 20 (noon and 2:30 p.m.) and one contest on Tuesday, March 22 (7 p.m.).

The 64-team field for the 2011 NCAA Championship was announced on Monday (March 14) night, and Gardner-Webb, James Madison, Miami and Oklahoma will be competing in Charlottesville beginning on Sunday.

Third-seeded Miami (27-4) and 14th-seeded Gardner-Webb (23-10) will face each other in Sunday’s noon contest on ESPN2, followed by sixth-seeded Oklahoma (21-11) vs. 11th-seeded James Madison (26-7) at 2:30 p.m., on ESPN2.

The winners of those contests will play Tuesday at 7 p.m., with the advancing team earning the right to compete in the Dayton Regional.

Tickets can be purchased online at VirginiaSports.com, by calling the ticket office at (800) 542-8821 or in person at the ticket office in Bryant Hall during regular business hours, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The group prices for single session tickets are $10 for reserved seating and $5 for general admission seating. A group is considered to be 20 or more people.

Single session ticket prices are $15 for reserved seating and $10 for general admission seating. A single session ticket for Sunday, March 20, includes both first round games.

Single session parking is $5 per vehicle and must be paid in cash upon entry at the John Paul Jones Arena parking lot.

All-session ticket books for the NCAA championship are still available and include admission to two games on Sunday, March 20, and one game on Tuesday, March 22. Ticket books are $25 for reserved seating and $15 for general admission seating. An all-session parking pass is also available for $10.
