CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – On Friday, April 22, ticket books for potential NCAA Baseball Regional and Super Regional tournaments at Davenport Field go on sale online at VirginiaSports.com. The online sale begins at 9 a.m. Regional all-session ticket books are sold for $60 for reserved seating and $45 for general admission seating, while Super Regional all-session ticket books are $36 for reserved seating and $24 for general admission seating.

All 2011 Virginia baseball season ticket holders may purchase both reserved and general admission ticket books through the May 18 priority seating deadline. The general public may purchase general admission ticket books online beginning Friday; if reserved ticket books remain after the priority deadline, they will be sold to the public beginning Wednesday, May 25.

Beginning Monday (April 25), ticket books may be purchased in person at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall or by calling the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 542-8821 or visiting VirginiaSports.com.

If selected as a host site, Virginia would host an NCAA Regional Championship tournament featuring three other opponents June 3-6. If the Cavaliers were to win the NCAA Regional Championship, they could potentially host a Super Regional (best of three) tournament June 10-12 or June 11-13.

The 16 NCAA Regional sites are announced Sunday, May 29. The NCAA tournament selection show is slated for Monday, May 30, and will be televised by ESPN at 12:30 p.m. The eight Super Regional sites are announced following the completion of regional play.

Tickets are required to be held for the visiting teams for both the Regional and Super Regional tournaments. Therefore, not all season ticket seating locations are available to be purchased. All season ticket holders may order the same number of seats as they held during the regular season. The Virginia Athletics Ticket Office will make every effort to place postseason tickets as close as possible to season ticket holders’ regular season seat location.

Season ticket holders may order additional tickets in general admission seating and request an upgrade to reserved seating at the time of purchase. Upgrades are not guaranteed and will be based on reserved seat availability after May 23. Season ticket holders who are offered an upgrade will be automatically charged for the difference in ticket price and will be seated in Virginia Athletics Foundation priority point order. Orders for additional reserved seat tickets will not be located next to existing season ticket locations.

Virginia 2011 baseball season ticket holders only will be charged if Virginia is announced as a tournament host for the Regional and Super Regional tournaments. Non-season ticket holders’ credit cards will be charged at the time of purchase. If Virginia is not selected to host a postseason tournament round, all non-season ticket holders will receive a full refund of their ticket balance for that round.

Virginia Athletics Foundation donors will be able to purchase reserved tickets during a special pre-sale opportunity on May 19-20. Donors will need to log in to their account at VirginiaSports.com beginning at 9 a.m. on May 19 to take advantage of this offer. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis from available seat locations.

UVa students must purchase tickets for admission to both the Regional and Super Regional tournaments. Students may purchase general admission tickets at a reduced price of $30 for Regional ticket books and $15 for Super Regional ticket books.

Season ticket holders purchasing postseason tournament books in reserved grandstand seating locations must commit to the purchase of tickets for both the Regional and Super Regional rounds. Ticket books for other seating areas, including general admission, may be purchased on a round-by-round basis.

Customers ordering postseason all-session ticket books by Friday, May 27, may choose to have the tickets mailed to the address provided. After that date, tickets may be picked up at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall during regular business hours or at Davenport Field Will Call on game day.

Paid parking is in effect for both the Regional and Super Regional tournaments. Parking passes covering all four days of Regional competition are $15 if purchased in advance. Parking passes covering all three days of a Super Regional are $10 in advance. Without a voucher, the charge to park on game day is $5 per day.

All sections of the grandstand (Sec. 101-109) and the first base line bleachers (Sec. A-F) are considered reserved seating for both the Regional and Super Regional tournaments. General admission seating is located on the grassy hillside down the left-field line and in the bleachers beyond the outfield wall in both left and right field. Standing room is also available for general admission ticket buyers.

Single session tickets for a Regional go on sale to the public on Friday, June 3 at 9 a.m. if available. Single session tickets are $12 for reserved seats and $8 for general admission seating. Any remaining single-game tickets for a Super Regional go on sale on Friday, June 10, at 9 a.m. Super Regional single-game tickets are $16 for reserved seating and $12 for general admission seating.
