CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -The Virginia softball team (21-25) will play a doubleheader at Radford (31-15) Wednesday in Radford, Va. The Cavaliers and Highlanders will begin at 4 p.m. with a second game to follow at approximately 6 p.m. Live statistics for both games will be available on VirginiaSports.com.

The Cavaliers are looking to bounce back from losses to No. 22 Georgia Tech at home over the weekend in a rain-shortened series. The Yellow Jackets won both games that were contested, 8-0 and 9-2.

Freshman Stephanie Harris paces Virginia at the plate with a .326 average and is tied for the team lead with 26 RBI, along with classmate Marcy Bowdren. Bowdren, who hits .268, also contributes a team-high 10 doubles while junior Giannina Cipolloni averages .324 and has 29 stolen bases on the year.

Radford is coming off a weekend sweep over Winthrop at home to improve its conference record to 12-2 on the season. Nichole Beall leads the Highlanders with 13 doubles, nine home runs and 38 RBI to go along with a .336 average at the plate. Taylor Cunningham hits .282 with 12 doubles and Lauren Williams is 22-for-27 on the basepaths.

Pitcher Jackie Jenkins has a 1.08 earned run average for Radford this season and is 15-2 on the year. She has been named the Big South pitcher of the week four times. Teammate Stephanie Dameson also boats a 2.00 ERA and a 12-4 mark.

Virginia leads the all-time series with Radford, 19-12. The Cavaliers won both games of a doubleheader last season, 5-2 and 4-2, in Charlottesville.
