PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Virginia track and field team finished competition Friday at the Penn Relays, with junior Erin Wykoff finishing fourth in the Championship of America section of the discus. Wykoff threw just shy of her personal-best, finishing with a mark of 162′ 2″.

Junior Vincenzo Chiariello competed in the championship section of the hammer throw, taking ninth overall with a throw of 184′ 5″.

On the track, Virginia’s 4x100m relay team of senior Kisha Garrick, senior Kristina Chapman, junior Meagan Gillespie and sophomore Danielle Williams finished third in the College Women’s 4x100m ECAC section. The quartet combined to run 46.54.

Freshman Tommy Devita rounded out the Cavaliers competing today, finishing 15th in the college section of the high jump. He cleared 6′ 6.75″.

Virginia will conclude competition tomorrow with junior Andy Fahringer competing in the championship section of the javelin at 11 a.m. The men’s 4x800m relay team will wrap up competition as it looks to defend its Championship of America title from last year at 4:25 p.m.
