CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Because of a forecast for inclement weather Friday (May 13), the start time for the opener of the Virginia-Miami series at Davenport Field has been moved up to 5 p.m.

ACC game-management protocol stresses that every effort should be made to complete all three games in a conference series. With a high probability for inclement weather on Friday night, this change will give the teams the best opportunity to complete the game.

Because of the earlier start time, fans who cannot make the game may (a) exchange their ticket in advance for a General Admission ticket to any other regular season game by calling the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 542-8821 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or (b) bring their ticket stubs to the gate for General Admission seating at any remaining regular season home game, subject to seat availability at the time of arrival.

A limited number of tickets remain for all three games of the series. Game two of the series is scheduled to begin at noon on Saturday (May 14) with first pitch scheduled at 12:30 p.m. for the Sunday (May 15) series finale. Tickets for home Virginia baseball games can be ordered by phone at (800) 542-8821, online at VirginiaSports.com, or at the Davenport Field entrance starting two hours before first pitch. Advance ticket sales online end four hours prior to each game.

Fans are encouraged to visit VirginiaSports.com throughout the weekend for the latest Virginia baseball news and information.
