CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Because of a forecast for inclement weather Sunday (May 15), the start time for the third game of the Virginia-Miami series at Davenport Field has been moved up to 11 a.m. Gates will open at 9 a.m.

ACC game-management protocol stresses that every effort should be made to complete all three games in a conference series. With a high probability for inclement weather throughout the day on Sunday, this change will give the teams the best opportunity to complete the game. No inning Sunday may start after 4 p.m. because of ACC travel regulations.

Because of the earlier start time, fans who cannot make the game may (a) exchange their ticket in advance for a General Admission ticket to the game against High Point on Tuesday, May 17 by calling the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 542-8821 during regular business hours, Monday or Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or (b) bring their ticket stubs to the gate for General Admission seating at Tuesday’s game against High Point, subject to seat availability at the time of arrival.

WINA 1070-AM will pick up the radio broadcast in progress at noon. Live audio and video will be available at 11 a.m. on VirginiaSports.com.

Tickets are available for tomorrow’s game. Tickets may be ordered online at VirginiaSports.com or at the Davenport Field entrance starting two hours before first pitch. Advance ticket sales online end four hours prior to each game.

Sunday will be Family Day at the park. Fans may purchase four general admission tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for $36. There also will be an autograph session and running of the bases following the Senior Day ceremonies.

Fans are encouraged to visit VirginiaSports.com throughout the weekend for the latest Virginia baseball news and information.
