CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia field hockey players Paige Selenski (Shavertown, Pa.) and Michelle Vittese (Cherry Hill, N.J.) have one again been named to the United States National Team and were also selected to compete in the Champions Challenge June 18-26 in Dublin, Ireland.

Selenski and Vittese were two of 18 athletes picked to participate the Champions Challenge and have begun training at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.

The roster for the 28-player 2011 Women’s National Team was announced by head coach Lee Bodimeade following play at the Women’s National Championship in Washington, D.C., at the end of May. The athletes selected have the potential to represent the United States on the world stage over the next year at the Pan American and Olympic Games.

In addition, former Cavalier goalkeeper Kim Kastuk (Putnam Valley, N.Y.), who completed her eligibility at UVa in 2010, was selected to the United States Developmental Team.
