Nielson Wins Women's Southern Amateur Championship

Atlanta, GA – Former Virginia women’s golfer Calle Nielson (Nashville, Tenn.) won the 96th annual Women’s Southern Golf Association Championship in Atlanta at the Capital City Club. Nielson defeated Arkansas’ Meagan Roberts 4 and 3 in Friday’s final. Nielson entered the 32-player match play portion of the tournament as the top seed after finishing first in the stroke play qualifying.
