CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Virginia athletics department’s 2011 Cavalier Caravan includes three open movie nights at Scott Stadium. Fans will be able to watch the classic movies, “Remember the Titans” (edited version), “Secretariat,” and “Toy Story 3” on Scott Stadium’s `Hoo Vision.

The first Scott Stadium movie night is Saturday, June 18 featuring “Remember the Titans.” Parking in the west lot and admission to the event are free. The west gate will open for admission at 6 p.m. and the move will begin playing at 7 p.m. Concession stands on the west side of Scott Stadium will be open for sales.

“Secretariat” will be show on Saturday, July 16 and “Toy Story 3” will be shown on Friday, August 12. “Secretariat” will begin at 7 p.m. and “Toy Story 3” will begin at 6 p.m. Admission and parking is free.

The Cavalier Caravan is designed to reward Virginia fans and build loyalty throughout the state. In addition, the caravan will raise awareness of several new ticket options that have made becoming a Virginia football season ticket holder easier than ever.

“First and foremost, we want to meet and visit with loyal Cavalier fans in their backyard, similar to the football practices that were held in Northern Virginia and the Tidewater areas,” said Zee French, Virginia’s associate athletics director of strategic ticketing. “We want to make sure our supporters are familiar with all of the season and three-game mini-package options and have considered becoming a ticket holder to attend games this fall.”

The Cavalier Caravan will hit the road in June, July and August with events throughout the state including Richmond and Lynchburg. It will also appear at county fairs in Rockingham, Orange and Greene.

Each stop on the tour will include games, prizes and giveaways. All visitors will receive a memento at the Cavalier Caravan booth and five fans at each stop will win tickets to the season opener against William & Mary on Sept. 3.
