CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Following Virginia’s 40-3 triumph over William & Mary on Saturday, UVa’s senior center Anthony Mihota has been named the ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week and freshman tailback Kevin Parks was named the ACC Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league today.

Mihota (Fredericksburg, Va.) had a total of 16 knockdown blocks on 67 plays, helping UVa roll up 240 rushing yards and 256 passing yards in the victory. The strong offensive line play helped Virginia hold a 15-minute advantage in time of possession.

Parks (Salisbury, N.C.) enjoyed one of the best debuts by a running back in UVa history. He rushed for 114 yards on 16 carries (7.1 average), and scored three TDs (19, 1, 26), the most rushing TDs by a Cavalier in his college debut since Bob Davis also rushed for three TDs in 1964. It marked just the sixth time a UVa player has scored three TDs in season-opening game.

The last ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week bestowed on a Cavalier was Joe Torchia On Sept. 13, 2010. The last Virginia ACC Rookie of the Week was Matt Conrath on Oct. 13, 2008.
