Stanford, CA – Virginia junior Brittany Altomare is tied for fifth place, just three shots off the lead, heading into Sunday’s final round of play at the Stanford Intercollegiate. Altomare shot 1-under 70 Saturday for a 36-hole total of 5-under 137. Oregon’s Cassy Isagawa and Washington’s SooBin Kim lead the field at 8-under 134.

The 12th-ranked Cavaliers enter the final round in 15th place at 17-over 585. Virginia shot 12-over 296 during the second round. Top-ranked UCLA leads the event at 12-under 556.

UVa’s second round scores included a 71 by Elizabeth Brightwell. She is in 36th place at 2-over 144. Portland Rosen is 67th at 150 after posting a 77 Saturday. Briana Mao is 77th at 154 and Nicole Agnello is 82nd at 157. Mao shot 78 in the second round and Agnello recorded a score of 80. Freshman Kaira Martin, playing as an individual, shot 74 and is in 63rd place at 149.

The final round of the tournament will tee off at 7:30 a.m. PT Sunday. Live scoring is online at Golfstat.com.
