NORFOLK, Va. — The Virginia women’s tennis team continued play at the ITA Atlantic Regional on Monday at Old Dominion University. Hana Tomjanovic (Boca Raton, Fla.) advanced to the singles final, while the duo of Tomljanovic and Emily Fraser (Rye, N.Y.) reached the doubles semifinals.

In singles, the Cavaliers had three of their five quarterfinalists reach the semifinals. Tomljanovic topped Lauren Greco of Georgetown 6-3, 2-6, 6-4. Caryssa Peretz (Cherry Hill, N.J.) defeated teammate Li Xi (Kunming, China) in straight sets. Fraser saved a match point in a 2-6, 6-2, 7-6(6) win over Petra Januskova of Penn State. In the last quarterfinal, Erin Vierra (Norwell, Mass.) lost to Cristina Stancu of Maryland.

In the semifinals, Tomljanovic defeated Peretz in straight sets to reach the final. She will meet Stancu for the title, as the Terrapin downed Fraser in three sets in the other semifinal.

In doubles, the duo of Tomljanovic and Fraser reached the semifinals. The second-seeded duo topped Stancu and Jordan Hansbrough of Maryland 8-3 in the quarterfinals. They meet the fifth-seeded team of sisters Ana and Alex Bara of VCU in the semifinals. The top-seeded team of Hardenbergh and Vierra were upset in the quarterfinals by Ana Belzunce and Welma Luus of Maryland.

The tournament concludes Tuesday with the singles final and doubles semifinals and final.
