CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia field hockey team (7-11, 0-4 ACC) will entertain sixth-ranked Duke at 1 p.m. Saturday in the final regular season game of 2011. Admission to the game at the University Hall Turf Field is free and live stats will be linked on VirginiaSports.com.

Virginia’s three members of the fourth year class – Alexandra Jahnle, Rachel Jennings and Adrienne Ostroff – will be honored on the field in a postgame ceremony following the contest with the Blue Devils.

Additionally, the first 300 fans in attendance will receive a free Virginia field hockey t-shirt at the gate.

The Cavaliers are coming off a 5-0 loss last weekend at 19th-ranked Wake Forest. Meanwhile, Duke (11-5, 2-2 ACC) has won four consecutive games, most recently a 5-0 victory over Central Michigan last Sunday.

Among the ACC leaders are UVa’s Elly Buckley, who ranks second in the league with 37 points and is tied for second with 15 goals. Emmie Le Marchand paces the Blue Devils with 13 goals (tied for fifth in the conference) and 32 points (tied for fourth).

Virginia leads the all-time series with Duke, 28-15, and has won the last six games. Last year, the two teams met twice in less than a week, ending the regular season in Durham, N.C., before facing each other in the first round of the ACC Championship. Virginia won both games by a score of 2-1.
