Charlottesville, VA – The Virginia men’s golf team heads to California this week for its final tournament of its fall season. The Cavaliers will compete at the Gifford Collegiate Championship at CordeValle Golf Club in San Martin, Calif., from Oct. 31-Nov. 2.

The format for the three-day, 54-hole event will be six-count-five scoring. The CordeValle Golf Club will play to a par of 71 over 7,200 yards.

The field includes defending champion UCLA, Stanford, USC, Arizona, Coastal Carolina, Long Beach State, Northwestern, Oregon, Washington and Washington State.

Virginia’s lineup includes Denny McCarthy, Bruce Woodall, Ben Kohles, Ji Soo Park, Ben Rusch and Mac McLaughlin. The Cavaliers are paired up with Stanford during the opening round. The teams will tee off starting at 9:15 a.m.
