CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia baseball team will be featured three times this season on ACC Monday on ESPNU. The Cavaliers’ appearances in this nationally televised package include games at Florida State on March 19, at home against Wake Forest on April 9 and at Miami on April 30. The three games all will start at 7 p.m.

Each of the three affected conference series now will run Saturday through Monday rather than the typical Friday through Sunday format.

Because the third game of the Wake Forest series has shifted to April 9, the contest against High Point at Davenport Field, previously scheduled for April 10, has been moved to Wednesday, May 9, at 6 p.m.

As part of ESPN’s new 12-year agreement with the ACC, ESPNU will televise nine-consecutive weeks of ACC Olympic sporting events on Mondays at 7 p.m. during the spring of 2012, including six baseball games, two softball games and the women’s lacrosse championship.

ESPNU, ESPN3 and the conference’s regional television partners may broadcast additional Virginia baseball games this spring. Those selections will be announced at a later date.

Virginia baseball season tickets are currently on sale. Reserved Seat season tickets are sold out for the 2012 season.
