CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia swimmer Taylor Grey shared the Atlantic Coast Conference men’s performer of the week honor, announced Tuesday by the league office.

Grey, a sophomore, won three individual events and set two Christiansburg Aquatic Center records as the Cavaliers rallied to come back and beat Virginia Tech, 161-139. His win in the 400 individual medley, last individual event before the final relay, sparked a 1-2-3 Cavalier finish that helped propel Virginia to a victory.

A native of Williston, Vt., Grey set two pool records, including the 200 breaststroke (2:01.59) and 400 IM (3:56.57) and also won the 100 breaststroke in 56.69.

Grey shared the honor with North Carolina senior David MacDonald.

Virginia visits Duke and North Carolina this weekend in two more ACC dual meets. The Cavaliers and Blue Devils meet at 5 p.m. Friday in Durham, N.C., before battling North Carolina Saturday in Chapel Hill, N.C. The men will compete at 12 p.m. and the women will swim at 3 p.m.
