UVa Announces Spring Sports Radio and Live Online Streaming Schedule

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – The Virginia athletics department and WINA AM-1070 in Charlottesville announced a 63-game radio broadcast and live online audio streaming schedule for baseball and men’s and women’s lacrosse games this spring. Additional games will be added to the schedule if UVa’s teams qualify to compete in ACC and NCAA tournament play.
In addition, a live video webcast of 21 home games, including baseball, men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, and the spring Orange-Blue football game will be offered online through VirginiaSports.com.
The online radio broadcasts and video webcasts can be accessed on VirginiaSports.com through the Cavaliers Live subscription service. The four-month subscription to cover the spring events is $29.95, while a one-month subscription is $9.95, and a single event subscription is $5.95. The Cavaliers Live subscription covers all live audio and video during the selected period.
A total of 29 Virginia baseball games will be broadcast on WINA with two games on sister station WVAX AM 1450. Each of these games, plus an additional 16 contests, will be streamed online at VirginiaSports.com. All of Virginia’s ACC and NCAA tournament games also will be carried by WINA and streamed online. Michael Bisceglia will join the “Voice of the Cavaliers,” Dave Koehn, to call the action during the season.
The Virginia baseball Cavaliers Live video webcast package includes each non-televised ACC home game and the May 15 contest against VCU at Davenport Field.
Eight men’s lacrosse games will be broadcast on WINA and carried as part of the online Cavaliers Live subscription package. Additionally, live audio of the Cavaliers’ home games against VMI (Feb. 21) and Vermont (March 6) and UVa’s match-up against Cornell in Baltimore on March 10 will be carried online at VirginiaSports.com. The ACC men’s lacrosse championship game and NCAA men’s lacrosse tournament games will be added to the schedule for WINA and VirginiaSports.com if UVa is participating. John Freeman will handle play-by-play duties for lacrosse games and Doug Tarring will serve as the color analyst.
A Cavaliers Live video webcast will also be offered of the men’s lacrosse home games against VMI and Vermont.
The women’s lacrosse team’s game against James Madison on March 21 will be broadcast by WINA and audio will be streamed online through Cavaliers Live. A Cavaliers Live video webcast of the women’s lacrosse team’s games against Syracuse on Feb. 26, North Carolina on March 10, and Boston College on March 31 will be offered online at VirginiaSports.com.
Cavaliers Live will offer both live audio and video of the April 14 Orange-Blue spring football game at Scott Stadium online at VirginiaSports.com.
