Emery Named ACC Player of the Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia sophomore midfielder Rob Emery has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week for the week ending on Monday, Feb. 20.

Emery scored two key goals in Virginia’s 9-8 road win over No. 20 Drexel. The San Francisco, Calif., native scored his first goal in the third quarter to tie the game at 4-4. His second goal with 4:48 left in the game proved to be the game-winner and came against Mark Manos, Drexel’s All-American goaltender.

UVa returns to action tonight against VMI. Faceoff inside Klöckner Stadium is at 7 p.m.
