GREENSBORO, N.C.-Senior Simone Asque and junior Beth Wildermuth have been named to the Volleyball All-ACC Academic team, the conference announced Wednesday (Feb. 22).

Asque (Chicago, Ill.), a three-time VaSID first-team selection, led the Cavaliers with 403 kills (3.60 kps) and was honored by COBRA Magazine’s All-East Region team for the second-straight year. She finished her Wahoo career with the fourth-most career kills (1,442) in school history.

Wildermuth (San Clemente, Calif.) directed the Cavalier offense, dishing out 1,082 assists and now ranks sixth all-time at Virginia with 2,020 career assists. The 2010 and 2011 co-captain recorded 11 double-doubles.

To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic team, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.0 cumulative average during her academic career.
