CHARLOTTESVILLE – Pairings for the 2012 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championship were announced by the league on Saturday (April 14). Virginia will be the tournament’s No. 4 seed and will face No. 5 seed Boston College on Friday (April 20) at noon in Durham, N.C.

The game will be televised by the ACC’s Regional Sports Networks (Comcast SportsNet in the Charlottesville area) and live statistics can be accessed at VirginiaSports.com.

Virginia enters the tournament with a 10-5 overall record (2-3 ACC).

North Carolina earned the No. 1 seed, followed by No. 2 Duke, No. 3 Maryland and No. 6 Virginia Tech.

The winner of the Cavaliers’ quarterfinal match-up with the Eagles will advance to the semifinals and face North Carolina Saturday at 1 p.m.

Virginia defeated Boston College, 12-10, on March 31 in Charlottesville.
