GREENSBORO, NC – Junior Brittany Altomare (Shrewsbury, Mass.) has been named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference women’s golf team. It marks the third consecutive year she has received all-conference honors.

Altomare leads the Cavaliers with a 73.69 stroke average and led or shared the team lead in scoring in seven of nine tournaments this year. She had four top-10 outings this season, topped off by a third-place finish at the Mason Rudolph/Fall Preview in September. She shot 67 in the first round at the Stanford Intercollegiate to post a new low single-round collegiate score and tie the school single-round scoring record.

Altomare enters the post season with the fourth-best stroke average among ACC golfers. She is ranked No. 38 by Golfweek and No. 53 by Golfstat. Her career stroke average (73.44) ranks as the best in the Virginia program’s history.

The NCAA will announce the field for its three regional championships tonight at 9 p.m.
