Charlottesville, VA – With several home athletics events slated for Friday, May 11 through Sunday, May 13, including three NCAA Championship events, the Virginia athletics department would like its fans to be aware of the following information regarding traffic, parking, tickets and gate openings as they prepare to attend those contests.

Friday, May 11

• NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship First Round – Snyder Tennis Center
Tennessee vs. VCU at 11 a.m.
Virginia vs. Fairleigh Dickinson at 2 p.m.
• Baseball vs. Georgia Tech at 6 p.m. – Davenport Field

Saturday, May 12
• NCAA Men’s Tennis Championship First Round – Snyder Tennis Center
VCU vs. Columbia at 9 a.m.
Virginia vs. Fairleigh Dickinson at Noon
• Baseball vs. Georgia Tech at 1 p.m. – Davenport Field
• NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship Second Round – Snyder Tennis Center
First round winners at 3 p.m.
• Track & Field – The Virginia Challenge at 3:30 p.m. – Lannigan Field

Sunday, May 13

Parking Information
Men’s & Women’s Tennis (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
Free public parking for men’s and women’s tennis is available at the Culbreth Garage and Emmet/Ivy Garage. The Central Grounds Garage will also be available, but hourly rates apply for that facility.

Baseball, Track & Field (Friday and Saturday)
Free public parking for the Friday and Saturday baseball games and Saturday’s track and field meet is available in the University Hall, John Paul Jones Arena, and McCue parking lots and Emmet/Ivy Garage.

Fans should note that PVCC’s graduation ceremonies are scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday at John Paul Jones Arena which will cause more congestion in the area. Fans are encouraged to allow extra time to arrive in advance of the start of Friday’s baseball game.

Baseball, Men’s Lacrosse (Sunday)
A $5 cash charge will be in effect for the U-Hall, JPJA and McCue parking lots on Sunday because UVa is hosting a first-round game of the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championships at Klöckner Stadium. This charge applies to baseball and men’s lacrosse fans. Free parking will be available in the Emmet/Ivy Garage on Sunday.

Gate Openings
Gates open at 4 p.m. for Friday’s baseball game, at 11 a.m. for Saturday’s baseball game and at 11 a.m. for Sunday’s men’s lacrosse and baseball games.

Tickets
Admission is free for all NCAA Championship tennis matches and Saturday’s track and field meet.

Virginia baseball General Admission seats are $8 for adults and $6 for youth (18 and under), seniors (60 and over) and UVa faculty/staff (limit two with valid university ID). All Reserved Seats are sold out for the 2012 baseball season. Tickets for groups (20+) are $5 each for Friday through Sunday games.

Virginia men’s lacrosse single-game tickets are $8 (adult General Admission) and $6 (youth, seniors, faculty/staff General Admission). A limited number of Reserved Seats are available at $10.

Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets for the baseball and men’s lacrosse contests in advance to guarantee admission. Tickets can be purchased at any time online at VirginiaSports.com, in person at the main Virginia Athletics Ticket Office located in Bryant Hall (Scott Stadium) between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, or by phone by calling 800-542-8821 between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday.

Tickets for the baseball games may be purchased online at VirginiaSports.com until three hours before first pitch or in person starting two hours before the start of the game at the Klöckner/Davenport Ticket Booth.

A temporary ticket booth, accepting cash only, will be open Sunday starting at 11 a.m. for the men’s lacrosse and baseball games. It is located in the corner of the John Paul Jones Arena parking lot at the intersection of Copeley and Massie Roads.
