CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia athletics department announced today (June 4) three movie nights at Scott Stadium this summer. This is the second year movie nights will be held at Scott Stadium. Admission to each Scott Stadium movie night is free.

On Saturday, June 16, the movie The Blind Side will be shown starting at 7 p.m. That same day will also feature a 2012 Virginia football season ticket and three-game mini-package Select-A-Seat event at Scott Stadium beginning at 4 p.m.

On Saturday, July 14, The Adventures of Tintin will be shown starting at 7 p.m. The gates at Scott Stadium will open at 6 p.m. for this movie night.

Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax will be shown starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 4. Seating will be available on the field at Scott Stadium for this showing with gates opening at 5 p.m.

Raffle prizes, including tickets to 2012 Virginia home football games, a football signed by head coach Mike London, and an LCD-TV will be given away at each Scott Stadium movie night. To win the LCD-TV, fans must pre-register by sending an email including name, home address, phone number, and email address to cavforce@virginia.edu.

Fans will also have the opportunity to tour the Virginia football locker room before the showing of each movie.

Concessions and UVa merchandise will be sold during each Scott Stadium movie night. Food and beverages are not permitted to be brought into the stadium.

Parking is free and fans are asked to park in Scott Stadium’s west lot.
