2012 Mike London Women's Football Camp Set for June 22

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia football program and head coach Mike London will host the 2012 Mike London Women’s Football Camp on Friday, June 22. The four-hour event is scheduled from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at Scott Stadium. Registration is $35 and includes buffet dinner, gift, t-shirt and raffle entry.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. at the Southeast entrance to Scott Stadium and parking is available in the East Lots beginning at 5 p.m.

The event, hosted by Virginia’s third-year coach and members of his staff, includes dinner overlooking the field, UVa coaching staff video presentation, on-field instruction & light optional participation, run out onto the field through the smoke, tour the game locker room and a raffle.

“The event will be a fun, relaxing and informative way for women who want to learn more about football so they have a better understanding when watching a game of what is happening on the field and the preparation that goes behind it,” London said. “Our goal is for the participants to leave with a much better understanding of the game. It is another way for us to reach out to people in our community.”
