INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH, Fla. — Five current and future members of the Virginia men’s tennis team are in action this week at the USTA Futures Circuit event in Florida. Four Cavaliers are in the 32-player singles main draw and five Cavaliers are in the 16-team doubles main draw.
In the main draw of singles are Mitchell Frank (Annandale, Va.) and Alex Domijan (Wesley Chapel, Fla.), who both gained direct entry due to their ATP ranking. Justin Shane (Falls Church, Va.) reached the main draw after advancing from the qualifying draw, while incoming freshman Mac Styslinger (Birmingham, Ala.) received a main draw wild card.
In doubles, their are two all-Virginia teams in the field. Domijan and Frank, who played together at the end of the 2012 dual match season, are competing as a team. Justin Shane is playing this week with his younger brother, Ryan, who will be a first-year at UVa this upcoming season.
